A 9mm Eagle will make a fine ESP gun or steel gun, but will be nearly useless in USPSA, due to minor pf. It seems like more clubs are switching to IMGA rules for 3-gun, which, IIRC, does not factor major/minor. My father carried the 1911 during WWII and I absolutely love the platform. I very recently picked up an STI Staccato P HOST in 9mm from Dan at @BBP, who was wonderful to do business with. I have really been getting into shooting double stacks with dots on them and carrying them as my EDC with a Surefire X300 Ultra. After reviewing the STI Rogue in 9mm (August 23, 2009) I wondered what STI could do for a.45 ACP. The Rogue (and I urge you to go back and look at that review) is a very small 1911 9mm pistol that is beautifully executed, easy to carry, and more accurate than it has the right to be. Ideally suited for the USPSA Limited division, the STI DVC Limited is a top-end competition pistol.
